Beverly Kitaoka

Bev Kitaoka leads SAIC's Applied Software Systems Engineering Technology Group, a workforce of over 450 SAIC employee owners, headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Ms. Kitaoka is also the Chair of the Board of the Central Florida Innovation Corporation (CFIC), a member of the boards of the Florida High Tech Corridor Council, the Orlando Regional Economic Development Commission, and the Board of Governors of the Sunshine (Central Florida) Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.

She has been selected by Governor Bush for several statewide technology initiatives, including Vice Chair of the Emerging Technology Commission, Vice Chair of ITFlorida, and member of the Governor's Transition Policy Team on Economic Development and Job Creation. She also volunteers as Vice Chair of the Board of Kids House of Seminole, Inc., a children's advocacy center.

She was named as one of Central Florida's 100 Most Influential People by the Orlando Business Journal in 2002, was a Top 10 Finalist in the Orlando Business Journal's 2002 Women Who Mean Business Awards, and was a recipient of the Citrus Council of Girl Scouts 1999 Women of Distinction Award for Business & Technolology. Her organization has been repeatedly named one of the region's best companies for working families, and one of the state's top women-friendly employers. Her organization was externally assessed at Level 4 of the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model, placing it in the top 5% of assessed software development organizations worldwide, and has received two SAIC Annual Achievement Awards for Excellence in Program Performance in the category of Software Development/Systems Integration. She is SAIC's 2002 recipient of the Annual Achievement Award for Public Service.

Ms. Kitaoka's education includes a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Computers, Information and Control Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan.
